What a year!!!!

Social Media Mack was super blessed this year reaching milestones and making business better for everyone!

Social Media Mack celebrated its 2 year anniversary at the Colcord Hotel

• Social Media Mack became a certified Minority Owned Business in the state of Oklahoma

• Celebrated a one year anniversary with 2 different clients

• Social Media Mack became a certified partner with Constant Contact Nationwide Email Marketing

• Launched "Social Media Bootcamp" a organizational social media training that has been adopted by several organization/chambers in the state of Oklahoma.

Sure there are some other things, but these are the good parts. We hope everyone has a fantastic 2012!

There is no "I" in Team

As we approach our 2nd anniversary, we have to reflect on how we got here? (I will try not to tear up) Success can not be achieved without failure. It hurts the least if you learn from your mistakes or even learn before you have to make a mistake.

You have heard the saying: "Do what you do well and let others do the rest"??

This is so true!

People who fail in business try to do EVERYTHING themselves, and that's what gets them in trouble.

Although we started with just one computer and some folders from walmart... We knew we had to look like a million bucks!

Today, our team consists of several people throughout Oklahoma that are doing what they do well!

Happy Anniversary Baby!

Wednesday is a special day for me! One year ago.. I stepped off the plane from CA to OKC again with no job, no where to live and just a little bit of cash...

That's how the story starts. It's still going and along the way I have learned valuable lessons that I feel inclined to share with all those contemplative entrepreneurs. (so listen up...)

Things you should know BEFORE starting your own business:

* Your life is not your own (that is if you want to succeed) your business is a baby that cries all the time and sometimes spits up and YOU get to clean it up.

* Get a defense team: Pre-Paid Legal, an attorney .... something. You NEVER know what kinda petty drama will happen.

* Don't let people push you around. Do a good job but set boundaries!

* Take vacations.. even if you are working while you are on them.

* Save Receipts (FOR EVERYTHING NO MATTER WHAT)

* Write it down... Word of mouth is garbage in the business world

* Do it for the right reasons and not for the money.. cause you will be broke for a while :)
