Food 4 Kids, a program which provides nearly 8,000 chronically hungry elementary school children with a backpack filled with nutritious, kid-friendly food on weekends and holidays throughout the school year, Collected a portion of the proceeds made by the MIO Eat Up, Tuesday April 13th.
MIO coalition or (Made In Oklahoma) has set to sell 1million paper towels by the end of this month.
Guest that attended the “Eat Up” got to sample delicious food prepared by Good Egg Dining Group, a member of the MIO Coalition. Good Egg Dining Restaurants include: Market C, Iron Starr, Cheevers, Red Prime Steak House and Republic Gastropub.
Tons of activities and a live DJ kept the crowd pre- occupied. Not to mention being able to paper towel bowl or meet and greet Miss America 2007, Lauren Nelson or Project Runway's Jonathan Kayne.
The guests didn't go home empty handed, The first 100 attendees received a Made in Oklahoma goodie bag, which includes MIO coupons, a Tastefully Oklahoma cookbook and information about the coalition and the Regional Food Bank.
