#3 Most Memorable : Crazy Kiddos

Well you knew it was going to happen...
Children, as much as you can't stand them sometimes, are really and truly the real deal.
They don't shield nor sensor themselves and are an open book. I had the pleasure of teaching the 9 and 10 year olds for the summer and what a handful they were.
They were my little adults. Independent enough to go to the bathroom themselves but not so much as to open candy wrappers or use a glue gun.
Messy games day was by far the best day of the summer. Imagine chocolate pudding and raw eggs all over the place.
Good thing I was running only running the water hoes.
Child rearing varies from region to region. I found that out quickly.
Back talking, and not listening is very common in the liberal state of California.
Those little boogers are missed.
Couldn't imagine growing up in Lake Tahoe.

My work Thus far...

This pic is just a glimpse of what I get to see everyday when I go to work.

Besides the scenery being like your in a movie, the people of Lake Tahoe are that of a different breed.

People are nice, inviting and just all around pleasant. The church I am working for has been so amazing.

The community has embraced us as "New in Town" and loved us before we even arrived. (13 girls)

I am so so thankful to be away from drama, pollution and temptation

We have been working like crazy and haven't even been to the store to get postcards or anything.

God is so good and it's the faces like the one above that is going to keep me going all the time I am here.

What can I say, I am a softy.

Love ya more than cupcakes....

Survrival of the fittest..

well it was a good day! All things always work for good. Got everything squared away that I was griping about in my previous post.

I have crazy shenanigans planned for the weekend. Friday: maybe go out for a bit. Saturday: Theme parkin' it during the day and then going Downtown at night. Sunday: shopping and Church. Lots of things to do as usual.

I went to my favorite "hole in the wall" pub last night and had a few cerveza. When I got home I did something that I probably should not have. I called one of my old friends that I recently just reconnected with.

The twist to this story is, he is married now and has a few kids. Now, note that only after having alcohol in my system that I deemed it OK to call this guy, cause I never did when I was sober.

The conversation was weird and he was borderline rude. I mean he was just joking and giving me a hard time. I felt kind of offended I supposed because I don't know him like that anymore and vice versa.

So... is it ok to call a married friend that you have known for a long time? When is it not ok to step over that boundary? Hmm I just know that I would not want my husband talking to some chick. ??

Jealous Much..?
